The activity week is a consept inspired by Aktiv campus, and which Molde University College will become a part of. Aktiv campus want to encourage to physical activity for better physical and mental everyday health. It should be a low threshold offer where everyone, regardless of their physical capacity or prerequisite, are able to participate.

Activity pleasure, friendship, diversity and cooperation is in focus. Especially in this time after and during Covid and lock-down, this is a great arena to meet others with the same interests as you, to use your body or just have fun!

We kick-started the first week with a volleyball- and soccer- tournament on Saturday and Sunday. And what a kick-start! Many engaged students showed up, and the atmosphere was awesome. The following week was filled with many different activities for everyone. In all, over 30 different activities was arranged, where students could do karate, gymnastics, tennis, dancing, table tennis etc. The activities was arranged by the students' own sport- and student unions, but also local sports associations invited us to their trainings to show the students what Molde has to offer! One goal with this week was to connect the local sports so even more students can find something they want to continue with. The week ended with climbing in the the climbing park ''Høyt og Lavt'' where the students could challenge their fear of heights, and have fun with maybe new mates?

A great group in the climbing park!

Approximately 200 students participated during the week, and we have gotten good feedback. It seems like most of those that participated was very satisfied with the offer, especially the diversity of sports. This is a concept we want to continue with the next years, and we hope that we will continue to have this diverse range of activities and even more students participating.
